Rotaries at Midfield, The Final Return!

This was a VERY popular race created by Rypien back when GT3 first started.
It had since been brought back a couple times and since it was such a fun race,
I thought it deserved "one last hoorah!"

Hope it brings back fond memories for some and creates everlasting new ones for others.

GTF Thread

The Race:
Mode: Arcade, Free Run
Car: Any Rotary
Track: Midfield
Time Limit: The day GT4 is released

The Rules:
You can submit times for 1 car/class, all cars and classes or anything inbetween.
Standard OLR rules.
No cheating, No wall contact and at least 2 FULL wheels on at ALL times.
You can turn ASM/TCS on or off in ANY class.
Oil changes on ALL cars are okay.
You can choose automatic or manual transmissions in ANY class.

The Classes:
Class 1 - Arcade
You can use "Racing" or "Drifting" mode.

Class 2 - Stock Hp
Any modifications that don't raise hp (other than oil changes) are permitted.
This includes Full Suspension, Sport Brakes, Brake Balance Controller,
Triple Plate Clutch, Racing Flywheel, Racing Driveshaft, Full Transmission,
Full LSD, Lightweight Stages 1-3 and T8 tires.

Class 3 - Fully Modified
Any and all normal modifications within the game are allowed.

To submit times:
I will need what car, what class (arcade, stock or fully modified), the final lap time, and the version of GT3 you are using (PAL, NTSC or NTSC Japan).

You can view the leaderboards and download any available replays at the webpage here:
http://www.tuff240.com/rotariesatmidfield.htm

I'll adjust the hp figures when my cars are fully broken in and I know for sure the max hp. The ones with "?" are the ones I'm referring to.

Zero, please check and confirm your fully modified 787B time and get back to me.

I will also be adding a mildbrid class as soon as I get all the details worked out. I'm taking suggestions for that, btw. Thinking Miata with a RZ motor??

Good luck everyone and most of all, have fun!

Leaderboard is now on the webpage due to space/time. Click here!

jesus christ! not again  i think my very first exposure to very hotly contested competition was this very comp nearly 3 years ago (wow! has it been that long??? :o )

it's very important to note that this was originally the brainchild of the original mazda maniac Rypien who will doubtlessly lay down some fast times here.

will you be creating a website for each class of car full mod and arcade versions?? that would be cool. my only complaint about Rypien's comp was that all of the times were just posted in a big lump without class leaders really given thier due on top of a list. anyway, you definitely picked a good one to resurrect this time. i can here ron licking his chops as we speak :P

although i see you've worked on it already, i do recommend getting rid of the "all mods except stock HP" class. that sort of classification has always lent itself to a little dodgyness. believe me.

Yes, I agree, I need to add something that says Rypien started this challenge a LONG time ago.

I will have just the one webpage for all of the rotaries unless the submitted times leaderboard becomes too long. I will leave the classes as is. You can run any that you want to and none that you don't. Some people don't like the fully modded cars as they are quite a handful. I personally enjoyed running all of the cars and probably the "stock hp" ones as much as or more than the others. The webpage has all classes and cars listed individually, so you can run for top spot in any car or class you prefer.

New rules for this race. Replays are no longer mandatory.
(Please save your replays just in case there is a question though. )

Simply run laps at Midfield in Free Run and submit your times.
Please feel free to share replays, settings and tips for other drivers.

All of the old Rotaries at Midfield times and all of the new times have now been successfully combined onto both the "Final Return" webpage and the "Rotaries at Midfield Database" webpage.
There are currently 246 rotary times for Midfield in the Database (including the hybrids).

Database Link: Click Here!

I also included the Stock RX7 LM times from my first OLR race held by Gt3Emperor at GT3Times.
