does anyone here able to play in pure A-Spec mode the 24 hour endurance @ LA SARTHE I and II?

I'm trying it but on the last 12 hour the car is dificult to drive so im switchng to B-spec. The car I used so far are SAUBER C9 and NISSAN R89 all at its max HP.

Any TIPS? I really want to do it in 100% A-spec

I did the 24 hour at NURBURGRING using GSX R/4, the car became dificult to control on the last 12 hour but I still managed to complete the race, but @ Lemans, I cant continue after 12 hour, I'm losing so much time keeping the car on the track.

When the car's chassis passes a certain amount of miles (something like 400-800 miles), it begins to show chassis degradation generally through harsher and more uncontrollable weight transfers. It's important to note that while the condition progressively gets worse, it can only get so bad. About the best advice I can give you is to set up your cars for comfort and confidence, not necessarily speed. For endurance racing, I usually set up the suspension with soft springs, stabilizers, and especially dampers with the overall behavior leaning toward understeer. It isn't the fastest way of doing things, but I find I drive more consistently with this sort of setup.

Though I've only done four A-spec 24 hour races, this would have to be the most important thing I've come to realize.

I recommend testing each of the cars you plan to drive at the track for up to atleast 700 miles. I did this for each 24 Hour race I've done. I've found that just about every cars BRP wears off at around 600 miles. The Sauber C9 is about the worst car in the game in terms of chassis wear. Drive your car at the track under full bore conditions till you reach 600 miles or more. And then begin you setup work. Set the car up for the later two thirds of the race, and you be faster overall. With most cars I've driven, you'll never dial out all the chassis woes, but you'll go a long way to making the car drivable. The Sauber on the other hand, is utterly useless for any race longer than 600 miles. Which is ironic since it's a Real World Le Mans winner. Try the Jaguar XJR-9 or the Pescarolo Judd V10. I've driven both at Le Mans II and I respectively, and they performed well. The Pescarolo was nearly flawless for all 24 hours, whereas the Jag did get a little loose at times in the later half.

ughh! that sounds like a positively banal prospect. i know lemans is such a famous track and all but damn, they don't get too much more boring. the speed is kick ass of course but those endless straights and the r.e.m. sleep inducing flat-out engine droning for more any considerable length of time is positively soul-sucking. how any body can run that track for 24 hours is beyond my comprehension.

if you can complete either of those races, much less both, my hat is off to you man.

I've done all three, just not in 24 hours real time. I'm current doing the Nurb 24 in all A-spec for 200 points. Almost 10 hours in.

OK, I've done 24hr SARTHE I, in pure A-SPEC. I used the stock Mercedes AMG CLK GTR race car. Finished it in 8 days, but before that, I bought a UPS in case of power supply interuption. 6 lap winning margin against NISSAN R92CP. Best lap 3.22.1xx on R2-R2 tire combination, pit every after 7th lap.

The car is manageable from the beginning up to the end.

Here is the link of my setup

SARTHE II will be next, using the same car I think

below is a photo of my last pit stop

good deal man! that's a lot of laps. anytime i see somebody putting something like that up it really strikes me as an awesome achievement. i love nurburgring. as sucky as gt4 is when compared to gt3 physics and ergonomics-wise, it was still worth every penny and then some for the experience of nurburgring in either of the DTM audis. still, doing 400+ laps seems agonizing, even over 8 days. that's still 50+ laps a day (UGHHH!)

brilliant job mate 8) 8)

Smart man!

It took me 8 days to do the 24 hour Nurburgring race, too.
Now that Prologue is here, I doubt more will ever get done.

Cheers,
