Location: a crowded elevator smells different to a midget.
You have to keep the pass command on unless you want your bspec dude to just keep pace .

I think the little moron won't attempt a pass until he detects a car in front of him...by ass-ramming it first. At least it sure seems that way.

Fishtail, my B-spec driver, has gotten good enough on some combos that he will actually avoid the ramming by slowing down. Then it seems he checks his mirrors, safety restraints, make-up, cup of coffee in the cup holder, manicure, and adjusts the steering column height. After making sure his surroundings are properly set-up and in full aesthetic readiness he will proceed to make the pass.

Cripes! Just pass the car already!

I will admit that some of the B-spec races are enjoyable to watch. There are quite a few one-make races that can be set up where the B-spec driver will pass for first place coming out of the last turn. Makes for good viewing.

Later,
Canoe

The main thing is to keep your designated driver within his limitations. So, if you know, or have a feel of what that is, then make sure you have the proper car setup, and the right tires to complete the # of laps. (testing,..testing ).
Start wth settings : Steady / Overtake.
Once your're ahead... Slow Down.
IMPORTANT FYI: PS-2 ENDURANCE RACING: B-spec:
Press R1. This will bring you to the director's screen. Then press L1. Scroll right. This will allow you to set the pace of the race to 2-3 times faster by scrolling to the right. Unfortunatly, you won't be able to view anything but the director's screen. But, the good thing is, you can scream through races that you don't want to drive.

Unfortunately, the accelerated pace only lasts until the next pitstop, so you can't run the entire race unattended at 3X, only one stint at a time.

Nope, it's always just X3. Obviously they planned to do 5X, but didn't change the instructions when they decided not to include it for whatever reason
